The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball Player of the Week. LaGrange College freshman Katie Covington is the player of the week for the week ending Dec. 20. Covington led the Panthers to wins over Oglethorpe and East Texas Baptist. She averaged 18 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Covington had a season-high 21 points in the win over Oglethorpe. For the week, she mad 12-of-23 shots from the floor and 12-of-13 free throws.
